During Lent each year, many Christians give up something as an act of sacrifice and spiritual discipline. Often, we give up something like chocolate, knowing that after Easter Sunday we can once again enjoy what we have given up. In this small group study, James Moore challenges us to look at Lent in a different way. Moore challenges us to give up something (permanently) we are better off not doing. He invites us to seek God鈥檚 help to focus on eliminating one habit or attitude that is destructive. Imagine, instead of chocolate or coffee, giving up envy, jealousy, self-pity, apathy, procrastination, gossip, resentment, or negative thinking!!! What choice will have more impact in our day-to-day relationship with Jesus and others? Join others on a journey together through the 40 days of Lent to contemplate all that Jesus ultimately sacrificed and gave up for us all. This 8-week online group will meet on Mondays at 6:30pm beginning February 21.
