What did Jesus say that caused men to abandon their jobs and embrace his calling? What did Jesus do that made people flock to be near him? Why did Jesus befriend 12 men and mentor them for three years? Why did Jesus make enemies with religious leaders? Why did Jesus endure betrayal, torture, and death? What happened after he died? This 5-week study of the gospel of Matthew allows us to become intimately acquainted with Jesus as we look at his life on earth, as well as his power, authority, miracles, and teaching. We will also meet people from all walks of life and see how they respond to Jesus - men, women, rich, poor, sick, demon-possessed, fishermen and Pharisees, the elite and under-class. Matthew's life was drastically changed from his encounter with Jesus ... yours could be too. This study will meet in the Pennsburg area.
